VTS – Vehicle Tracking Systems

VTS systems enable monitoring of current vehicle location, distance traveled, vehicle speed, engine activity, vehicle acceleration, history of travelled routes for several years, temperature measurement, auxiliary equipment functionality (street cleaning, waste bin management, …) fuel consumption, engine RPM … communication with the driver, remote navigation and drawing-up appropriate documentation (reports, travel orders, Excel tables, …).

The systems consist of two categories:

- VTS Live: on-line system for monitoring vehicles at any given time.

The location of the vehicle or vessel is monitored via GPS reception and transmitted via GSM / GPRS or WiFi network to your computer.

- VTS Easy: off-line system for the most affordable vehicles surveillance.

The location of the vehicle or vessel is monitored via GPS reception and transferred via USB memory stick or WiFi network to your computer.

 

VTS portfolio consist of more than 7 different tracking devices, each suitable for specific application from simple tracking to complex vehicle or person tracking.

Entire system, including device hardware and software, application for data transfer, database storing,

and web applications for data access, was developed in the Atlan company.

 

Water flow meter with valve control

For the Jordan company from Slovenia, we have developed electronics and software for a range of electric water flow meters. Meters inlude versions with GSM-GPRS or WiFi communication. Different versions enable control of various valves, ranging from cylindrical, spherical to electromagnetic. Power supply consists of a battery with autonomy of at least 5 years in normal operating mode. Valves are used in several European countries. Details can be found on page: www.aqualink.si.

Digital contactless signal interfaces

We have developed and commercialized different contactless digital interfaces. Contactless interfaces are used whenever interfering with source signal is not allowed. Signal acquisition is made in wireless way without the need of physical connection. Reproduction on output lines is made in different HW layers with speeds up to 1 Mbps.

Signal acquisition is achieved via two technologies:

- magnetic coupling

- capacitive coupling

Interfaces capacitance or inductance to source signals is negligible. Resistance is almost infinite. Interfaces work as sniffers and therefore, they are not able to communicate in reverse direction or to respond to any source signal. Some interfaces are homologated for installation in vehicles.

V-Tex product for rapid cooling of beverages

Enviro-Cool (UK) Ltd, a UK-based company has developed two devices for rapid cooling of beverages. One is V-Tex Compact for domestic use and the other is V-Tex Comercial for use in public spaces.

At the Atlan company, we have developed the electronics for both products, from the user interface to engine controllers, sensors, power management, and display controller. The front panel is perfectly smooth, with illuminated capacitive keys and high-contrast graphical display.

Electronics for AQUA VIVA cleaning system with bluetooth communication

For AQUA VIVA cleaning system, we have developed the entire electronics set, which is responsible for motor control, smooth keypad functionality, measuring of air pollution, infrared control system and the bluetooth connection to smart phones. Design of high frequency printed circuit board of up to 3GHz

We have designed a printed circuit board for inserting the teletext data in HD television signal (analog and digital) for a German company that manufactures electronics for television companies. The circuit is a multilayer and operates with up to 3GHz. Development included the calculation and realization of the characteristic line impedances, selection of high frequency materials and execution of high frequency test to measure losses due to reflection on lines up to 3GHz. Additionally, we have developed power management with spatially optimized buck, booster and inverter switching power supplies.

System for tracking shipments

For a foreign company that deals with postal services, we have developed an overall project for mass shipment monitoring. The system provides a long power autonomy, extremely low weight product (only 44g!), despite the fact that it is battery-powered. This is a monitoring system that does not use GPS system for determining position. It has an embedded function to shut off the RF part of the device when the consignment is located in the aircraft during a flight, ultimately securing extremely low production price.

The solution for the shutdown of RF part during the flight of an aircraft, was patented by the Atlan company.

Electronics for use in vehicles

Car electro

In our company, there are several racing addicts, so we are honored to develop electronics for prestige sport cars and bikes, which are used also by the Akrapovič Company.

For different Companies, we have developed:

  • electronic interface between computer and vehicle electronics for controlling valves in exhaust pipe of sports cars. Electronics is also used by Company Akrapovič on European and American sports cars.
  • electronics for remote digital tachograph data download
  • electronics for presentation of valve control in exhaust pipe of a motorcycle, which affects sound and power.
  • electronics for contactless RPM reading from vehicle crank signal or spark ignition coil signal.
 

Industrial testing equipment

We manufacture customized testing systems for testing products in production processes. The customized designed testing systems may contain:

  • testing of analog signals (power, audio-video signals …)
  • testing of digital signals (digital connections: uP, PLD, …)
  • pneumatic clamping of the single printed circuit board or the entire panel
  • manual clamping of the individual printed circuit board or the entire panel
  • generation of power supply voltages from 90V AC up to 400V AC with powers up to 2kW and 5V step with different frequencies (50Hz, 60Hz, …)
  • mechanical parts control (switch buttons, rotating buttons, potentiometers, …)
  • reading of 2D or other codes via embedded cameras
  • PC connection for programming or execution of complex test routines with log files or  printouts of statistical test reports
  • testing data storage in accordance with ISO TS 16949 Automotive standard
  • communication with a system of traceability in production (MES)

We develop wired and wireless customized communication modules. If needed, we could develope several types of communication for the same device, which could be modularly replaced.

For mentioned communications, we are able to develop software interfaces to personal computers, tablet computers or smart phones. We could also provide support for development of firmware interfaces to interface with the custom embedded processors.

Systems with detection of events, quantities in remote locations with wireless transmission to servers with databases and web access for viewing and editing.

We are specialized in developing systems that measure data in remote locations, which are transferred via different communication systems (WiFi, GPRS, Bluetooth …) to servers. A dedicated software sort and parse all data to database.  Through the development of web applications, we enable access and elaboration of data stored in the database.

Based on all these elements, we have developed a system for monitoring parking activities for the Unipro company.

In cooperation with Enekom company, we have developed a system for monitoring the activities of cranes, trucks and transtainers in the Port of Koper, which is also based on the capture of data through sensors placed on vehicles, followed by the transfer of the data to a database where further processing is implemented.
